Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana announced today that it will commit $661,000 over the next three years to Community Harvest Food Bank, Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank, and Hoosier Hills Food Bank. This funding will help the food banks expand their ability to deliver healthy food to Hoosiers and host additional mobile food distribution events. Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. recently announced a $1 million contribution, through the Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation, to 44 food banks throughout the United States, providing up to 10 million meals. The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana is one of the beneficiaries receiving $250,000. In December 2020, Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. acquired ArcelorMittal USA which included 7500 employees in the region and two of the Region’s cornerstone steel production sites at Indiana Harbor and Burns Harbor. Albert’s Diamond Jewelers Donate 150,000 Meals

Albert’s Diamond Jewelers contributed $50,000 to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana to help support local residents in need of food assistance. Food Bank of Northwest Indiana is excited to receive a $5,000 grant from the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.
