Dunkin’ Brands Midwest Chapter Donates $20,000, volunteers to help fight hunger at Food Bank of Northwest Indiana On Wednesday, October 19, Dunkin’ Brands Midwest Chapter presented a $20,000 donation to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana to support hunger relief programs, services, and volunteer efforts.  More than 35 employees from Dunkin Donuts stores across the Region also volunteered in the afternoon as part of a company-wide service event supporting the Dunkin Brands’ Joy of Childhood Foundation. The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana’s Portage BackPack Program has grown from providing weekend meals to 10 children in one Portage Township School, to 160 children across all 11 Portage Township Schools.  But the need is still great, and Portage Township Schools would like to double the amount of children that are served each weekend of the school year. Protein by the truckload fuels hope for hungry communities

On Tuesday, June 28, Dutch Farms, Inc. donated a truckload of 10,800 dozen eggs to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. The eggs will be distributed through the Food Bank’s 120+ partner food pantries, soup kitchens, and other agencies and will provide 13,500 meals to individuals and families struggling with hunger across Lake and Porter counties. More than 100,000 people in Lake and Porter counties—or one in six—are considered food insecure, meaning they have limited or uncertain access to nutritionally adequate food at some point during the year. Pantry on the Go

Pantry on the Go kicked off its 6th year of fighting hunger and feeding hope in Northwest Indiana! Every week from March to December, Pantry on the Go serves up to 250 families by visiting locations across Northwest Indiana where assistance is truly needed.
