Food Bank of Northwest Indiana awarded $2,500 Enbridge Community Investment Grant to Feed Hungry Neighbors

Food Bank of Northwest Indiana is excited to receive a $2,500 Community Investment Grant from local energy transportation company, Enbridge. The donation will support the Food Bank Mobile Market, a traveling food distribution program to provide critical food assistance to individuals and families in need across Northwest Indiana. Mobile Market is scheduled to visit St. John Township Community Center on May 15th, where the funds provided by Enbridge will ensure children and families in need have access to fresh, healthy food.

Mobile Market visits a different community each week to serve fruits, vegetables, protein, grains, dairy, and other nutritious staples to hungry neighbors. As many as 300 families receive the hope and help they need at each Market. Community partners like Enbridge are critical to the continued success of Mobile Market and the countless families across the Region depending on its assistance.
