On Thursday, June 11th, Northwest Indiana was hit with multiple active tornadoes and severe storms. Affected areas include Merrillville, Portage, Hobart, and many other communities. The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana has spent the past week quickly responding to Northwest Indiana’s needs in response to the past severe storms. Multiple food distributions have been implemented, providing communities affected by the storms with boxed lunches.
