Volunteer Application for Court Ordered Service

Complete and submit the form below if you need court ordered community service hours.

We typically review court ordered volunteer applications within 5 business days. If you have any questions, please email volunteers@foodbanknwi.org or 219-980-1777, ext 316.

If approved, you will be contacted with next steps, including how to sign up to volunteer.

Note: You can complete a maximum of 50 hours of community service at the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. This may be extended with the approval of the Volunteer Engagement team.

Be aware of deadlines for your service hours

  • If you have between 5 and 30 hours to complete, apply to volunteer at least one month before your court date.
  • If you have 31 or more hours to complete, apply to volunteer at least two months before your court date.

You must have your community service log from the court with you at each shift. Upon completion of the shift, have it signed by the volunteer coordinator who led shift. That is the only time your log will signed.
