Strack & Van Til recently presented the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana with a check for $154,090.28. This balance accumulated during the Checkout Challenge that took place at all Strack & Van Til locations in November and December of 2017. The Checkout Challenge encourages customers to “round-up” their bill at the register to aide in the fight against hunger! The combined efforts of customers across Northwest Indiana amounts to over 462,000 meals which will feed many seniors, adults, and children throughout the Region.
To celebrate the top performing cashiers from the Checkout Challenge, the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana hosted a “behind the scenes” tour so that the cashiers could see the impact of their work. A special thank you is given to all the hard-working employees and generous customers at Strack & Van Til!
