Our annual Mobile Markets will again be held in September, Hunger Action Month. In 2015 we fed 1,000 families through our Mobile Markets. Follow us on Facebook or check back in 2016 for details on 2016's Mobile Markets.   Please note, if you are a resident of Lake County, you should attend the Lake County event. Fresh Mobile Market

We are excited to partner with the Boys and Girls Club of Porter County to offer fresh produce to Club families. This is a pilot program and we hope that we will receive additional funding to continue this market annually. Offering fresh produce promotes healthy eating at an early age. We often can fill our grocery carts with as much produce as we would like - this is a great opportunity to get fruits and vegetables to the youth at the Boys and Girls Club. The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana lost a beloved and dedicated employee, Ronald Mayes in a tragic accident. Some of our staff will be taking personal time away from work; please bear with us as we work through the loss of a valuable team member and friend. Shred Event and Food Drive – Hosted by BMO Harris Bank East Chicago

BMO Harris Bank located at 2409 E. 141st Street in East Chicago will host a community shred event in their parking lot on July 10th from 11am to 2pm. They will be collecting canned food items at the shred event. BMO Harris Bank will be hosting a month long food drive from June 15th until July 15th. All items collected will be donated to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.Read more
