FREE Christmas Dinner for People and Families in Need
Texas Corral restaurant in Merrillville (312 W 81st Avenue), in partnership with the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, is opening its doors on Monday, December 25th, to provide a Christmas meal to 700 people in need. From 11am to 4:30pm, the restaurant will be offering a traditional holiday meal at no cost to individuals and families struggling with hunger across Northwest Indiana.
“We want to open our doors and share the holidays with individuals and families in need — those who are hungry, homeless, or might otherwise spend Christmas alone,” said Anthony Moniuszko, General Manager.
Texas Corral restaurants across the Region are also holding a toy drive leading up to the dinner in order to supply presents for children. Children who attend the Christmas Day dinner with their families will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and receive a present.
Individuals interested in attending the Christmas Dinner can contact the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana for more information. Or click here for a voucher with more information on receiving the free Christmas meal.
Guests will be seated between 11am and 4:30 pm. Servings are limited to 700 individuals, or while supplies last.
