Pantry on the Go kicked off its 6th year of fighting hunger and feeding hope in Northwest Indiana!
Every week from March to December, Pantry on the Go serves up to 250 families by visiting locations across Northwest Indiana where assistance is truly needed. The program serves more than 350,000 meals annually by distributing proteins, grains, fruits and vegetables, and other food items to families in need.
Thanks to the continued support of your local McDonald’s of Northwest Indiana, the program has been serving communities across Lake and Porter Counties since 2010. Hundreds of local McDonald’s managers, supervisors, and crew members volunteer their time to Pantry on the Go by helping with set-up, food distribution, and clean up every week.
The 2016 season kicked off on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30 from 4-6pm at the Banta Center in Valparaiso (605 Beech Street). The Pantry on the Go service is available to all Northwest Indiana residents in need of food assistance. Individuals must bring valid proof of Indiana residency and boxes/bags to carry items. Keep an eye on our Schedule and follow Food Bank of Northwest Indiana on Facebook for more information, including future dates and locations.
