Raise Awareness of Hunger in our Community
Nearly 100,000 people in Northwest Indiana face hunger. We want all of our neighbors to have the nutrition they need to thrive, and we’re challenging you to help make that happen. Share your #healthyselfie this September, and pledge to take action against hunger by volunteering, donating, or advocating for hunger relief in our community. And don’t forget to challenge your friends to do the same!
“It takes more than just a few people fighting hunger to make a difference—it takes a community,” said Steve Beekman, executive director of the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. We encourage everyone to get involved in the fight against hunger—whether you volunteer, donate, or simply take a few minutes to learn more about hunger in our region, it will make a big difference in the lives of the people we serve.”
Take Action Against Hunger

>>Start a Collection: food drives help stock the shelves of local pantries.
>>Advocate: help food banks across the state secure better resources for fighting hunger.
>>Educate: the more you know about hunger in the Region, the more you can help end it.
